Croatia is a country with beautiful landscapes and scenery. These locations are often used to film your favourite television show or film. These shows are capturing the interest of many tourists around Europe, and some from even as far away as Australia, Canada, and the USA. One of the more popular vacation destinations is Pag Island, full of beautiful beaches and crystal blue water.

While this island is the fifth largest island in Croatia, it is notable for having the longest coastline. This means that there are dozens of beaches suitable for many swimmers and other people who enjoy everything from water sports to lazing on the beach

This island has a small population of 9100 people, plus many more from tourism. One of the popular destinations is beach Zrce. This is a long pebble beach where the visitors come to have the best party of their lives.

Zrce more known as a party spot, so if you’re single, you will want to come and visit this phenomenon.  There are many beach side bars and discotheques for people to take a break away from the sun, and seek refreshment and entertainment.

If you are older, or have a family, you may find that other beaches on Pag are more to your liking. If you wish to keep close to villages, in case you need to get something for the kids, you can visit Stara Novalja, Novalja, Šimuni, Košljun, Povljana, Smokvica, and Vlašići. If you don’t mind heading away from the villages, perhaps you have a picnic packed for the day, you may wish to try beaches that are a bit further away from modern conveniences, such as Goriška Draga, Mali Zaton, Veli Zaton, Malin, and Baška Slana.

Sveti Duh is notable for a sandy sea bed and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Sveti Duh means “Holy Spirit”. If you want to sink your feet into fine, soft sand, this is the location for you. This is also beneficial if you have younger children, and worry about the safety of their delicate bare feet.

If you’re into outdoor activities, Prosika is a popular spot for swimming, canoeing, and beach volleyball.

One thing’s for certain, you’ll have a great time on Pag’s beaches, and may even wish to beach hop around, as there’s just another one down the coast.
