The value and specificity of Pag lace is best explained by its place on the list of protected intangible cultural assets, and especially its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. A long time ago, the nuns of the Benedictine monastery in Pag started teaching lacemaking to the women of Pag, so the production of these handicrafts was their important source of income throughout history. A special way of making lace with a needle and thread has been passed down from mother to daughter for centuries. How many times have you been amazed by that beauty and been prompted to try making them yourself? However, acquiring the skill of making Pag lace is a long-term process that you could not decide on until now. That's why we have prepared a vacation for you where you will be able to learn how to sew lace that will decorate your homes and clothes. In addition to the usual tourist activities such as walking, visiting the island, visiting museums and restaurants, you will devote part of the day to learning these handicrafts. You can try your hand at a beginner's course or improve your skills in sewing Pag lace. Experienced Pag lacemakers will guide you in this. You will complete the experience of the island by tasting local food products or a relaxing massage with the scents of ethereal island herbs. During this time, your companion can try fishing or cycling. We recommend your stay in June when the International Lace Festival takes place.
